Dear Southeast Families,

It has been such a joy welcoming you to our end-of-year ceremonies this week. Celebrating our students’ growth and accomplishments with you is always a special highlight of the school year. Your presence and support mean so much to our school community. We are especially looking forward to honoring our fifth graders next week as they prepare to take the next big step in their educational journey.

In the coming weeks, you’ll begin receiving important communication to help your family prepare for the next school year. This will include details about school supplies, class assignments, and other back-to-school updates. Be sure to check your email and school messages so you don’t miss anything.

As we wrap up the year, we want to encourage every student to come to school each day. These final week is full of fun, learning, and special activities, and we want all of our students to be part of it. Consistent attendance ensures they don’t miss out on meaningful experiences and can fully enjoy the celebrations that mark the end of another successful year.

Remember that this next Thursday May 29 is an early release day for our students and dismissal will take place at 12:00 pm. We will continue sending you reminders so you can prepare and we can secure a safe dismissal for our students.

With gratitude,

Jorge Rodriguez

Operations Updates to Finish the School Year Strong

Greetings Families,

As we begin the last month of instruction for the 24-25 school year, we want to make sure our SPARKS are set up for success and can have a strong finish to the school year. Please read some updates to our operational procedures that will be effective immediately.

Early Sign Outs

Effective immediately, we will require parents/guardians to complete an Early Sign Out Questionnaire and documentation such as a doctor’s note, appointment confirmation or nurse excuse for early sign out of students before 1:30pm. Students signed out before the end of the school day lose valuable instructional minutes which could result in academic issues and disruption. If you are facing an emergency, please contact the front office immediately.

Early Sign Outs following school events

At SEE, we value community and being able to invite our families to our campus brings us great joy and helps us enrich the lives of our students. However, there are adjustments to instructional minutes that are made to be able to host these events and students miss part of their instructional day when signed out early. Moving forward we will not be accommodating early sign outs following our campus events unless we communicate upfront. We will be allowing for early sign outs after end of year ceremonies.

Late Pick-Ups

Our instructional day ends at 3:00pm and dismissal officially ends at 3:30pm. We allow a 15-minute grace period until 3:45pm for students to be picked up. Please make arrangements to secure your student is picked up by this time in order for our staff to close out their day and head home to their families as well. Any student remaining on campus past 3:45pm will receive a call to their guardians and possible meeting with an administrator. If you are facing an emergency, please contact the front office immediately.

Early Dismissal May 29

Jenny Reiser, Director of School Projects

C-Suite has approved the last day of school for students (May 29, 2025) to be an Early Dismissal day. This is to ensure our campuses hosting Commencement that evening are able to adequately prepare for this event.

  • Elementary Campuses will dismiss at 12pm on May 29.
  • Secondary Campuses will dismiss at 1pm on May 29.
  • Buses will run at dismissal and follow the normal routes.

Student Devices

All students have now been assigned an individual student laptop and charger on campus as part of their daily in-person learning experience. These devices are provided to all students and all students and families must follow the Student Technology Policy posted on our student handbook and website. As a reminder, any intentional damage or loss of a student device/charger may be subject to a replacement fee of $350 (laptop) and $50(charger). Note: Student devices will remain on campus and it is teacher discretion if they will allow students to take home devices on an individual basis.
