We have had a BUSY week with MAP testing and working hard to close out the school year strong. It has been a year full of DEDICATION from all staff, students, parents, and the community. Our SPARKS have accomplished so much academically and socially. As we head into summer break, we are looking forward to celebrating our students.

We only have 5 more wake-up days help us make sure your SPARK is here every day!!

Thank you, Family Association

We want to thank our Family Association and ALL of the families that donated money, gifts, and their talents to make our teachers and staff members feel appreciated this week. The attention to all the details was impressive and a reflection of the LOVE from where our parents and families served our teachers today. Special thanks to Ms. Suyapa, our Family Fellow, for all the logistics and for bringing it all together. Again, families, thank you for making today a special day for our fantastic staff members. We are so grateful for the love you give our team.

Student Attendance Reminders

Parents, please be reminded that we need you to contact our campus at 713-842-5555 if your student is going to be absent.

An excuse note must be turned in to the FRONT OFFICE within 48 hours of their return to campus. Excuse notes will NOT be accepted after 48 hours. You can send the excuse with your student, or you can email Mrs. Tristan at martha.tristan@yesprep.org.

To remain in compliance with our district, please note the following:

• All excuse notes need to be received within 48 hours of the absence.
• If the absence falls on a Friday, the note must be received no later than Tuesday. 
• Notes received after 48 hours will not be accepted and the absence will not be excused.
• Only three (3) handwritten excuse notes will be accepted per six-week grading period. Handwritten notes will not be accepted for absences of 3 days or more.
• After this limit is reached, only documentation from a medical provider or official entity (court, etc.) will be accepted to excuse an absence.

 

 

Field Day Recap

Last Friday our school had its 1st official SEE Field day. Our field day was held on the soccer fields of our neighboring school YES Prep Southeast Secondary. We had so many water and snack donations to ensure our SPARKS stayed hydrated and energized. It was the perfect way to end a week of testing!
