During the week of August 31 and September 7, your child will take a MAP® Growth™ test from NWEA® on their device. We give students MAP Growth tests to determine their instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year (and from year to year) in Reading, Math, and Reading Fluency.
MAP Growth tests are unique in that they adapt to your child’s level of learning. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. These results in a detailed picture of what your child knows and is ready to learn—whether it is on, above, or below their grade level.
Since MAP Growth tests provide immediate and accurate information about your child’s learning, it’s easy for teachers to identify students with similar scores that are generally ready for instruction in similar skills and topics, and then plan instruction accordingly.
Given that we will be testing students remotely, we are asking for an adult to be present to assist students if possible. The adult will assist students in logging in to the MAP assessment. Each student will log in using the username and password provided by their classroom teacher the moment the test begins. The MAP test will happen at the same time as your student’s live synchronous time. We are asking families to allow their student to test independently. It is important that families only assist their student if the student needs help with computer functions. The school needs accurate information so that teachers can plan their instruction accordingly.

Prepárese para el examen MAP del inicio del año escolar
Durante la semana del 31 de agosto y el 7 septiembre, su hijo/a realizará una prueba MAP® Growth™ de NWEA® en su dispositivo. Damos a los estudiantes pruebas de crecimiento MAP para determinar su nivel de instrucción y para medir el crecimiento académico durante todo el año escolar (y de un año a otro) en Lectura, Matemáticas y Fluidez de Lectura.
Las pruebas de crecimiento MAP son únicas en la forma en que se adaptan al nivel de aprendizaje de su hijo/a. Si su hijo/a responde una pregunta correctamente, la siguiente pregunta es más difícil.
